The Stamps Woodwind Quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon) is comprised of five outstanding young musicians who are enrolled at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. They were selected from an amazing roster of talented young artists who passed the auditions of the Frost School of Music and met the academic requirements of the University of Miami. The students were each offered a full four-year scholarship, including room and board, provided by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation. In addition to their regular music studies, the group is provided special opportunities to perform at festivals and venues of excellence and to create a cohesive group over a four-year period.

About the Stamps Scholarship Gift:
The Stamps Ensemble Scholarship at the University of Miami Frost School for Music is equal to the total cost for tuition and fees; on-campus double room and 20-meal per week board plan; for each academic year attended.  This scholarship is funded from University merit aid, University need-based aid, Federal need-based aid, State of Florida merit and/or need-based aid for which the recipient qualifies and from the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation.  Half of the award is applied toward fall semester expenses; the other half is applied toward spring semester expenses. The scholarship is renewable for four academic years (eight consecutive semesters), or such shorter time required to complete the baccalaureate degree.  The Frost School of Music and Stamps Family Charitable Foundation also assist Stamps Distinguished Ensembles with expenses when they are invited to perform at summer festivals and special residencies.
